Free Day!

 Outer:
Today shall be a good day! The weathers nice and it’s the begging for for the towns carnival season (as we know mardi gras season). We talked over everything and we decided that we were going to go with the flow today. We say no schedule no problem, we can plan as we go. We started our day off in the mall. Now I've been to a lot of malls, but I have not been to one that sells alcohol in them. The entrance we went in was right next to the food court and boom! Alcohol everywhere! I saw this place that I really liked that's called Fast Tuesday's which is a frozen daiquiri place. I am not a big drinker but when I see a Fat Tuesday's I must pay respect lol. So with that being said the first thing I bought at the mall was Fat Tuesday's and might I tell you it was quite delicious. I was not sure what type I wanted to get today so I was asking to try a couple because I knew for sure I would mix it with something else. There was a guy sitting at the stand and told me exactly what to get and although I did not know him I went ahead and ordered it and what do you know, it was amazing! Shopping until you drop was not my case today because I am so sad about shoes I really wanted out of this Steve Maden store. The shoes kind of remind you of a tom show but has a thinker sole. The top of the shoe was sparkly and it just fit my personality. The gentlemen that were working search all around for the shoe for me and we got close but no cigar.
Fast Forward, Parade time!
So after a day full of adventure it was time to get to the French Quarters for beginning of carnival season parade. We get a uber and head to the St. Louis Cathedral, well at least we thought that was where we were going. The streets were so packed that we could only get half way there, but where our uber dropped us of the parade was passing by. We got out and rushed to the crowd. Now me being the Ebonnie that I am had to find my way to the front and somehow, I made it. The parade was close to the end but in all we were there to say we got to experience some of it. I even got a little keep sake from a lady in the parade. After the streets cleared because the parade had moved on we walked around and made our way to the ST. Louis Cathedral. By surprise we met back up with the parade and got to see more. People were all dressed up with their families to enjoy the parade. This must be a huge deal! Not only were the streets full but the balconies on the buildings as well. This was such a great experience.

Now I did not forget, off to search the web for those shoes! 😊
