Inner Journey:
Omg! I cannot believe the time has come and we are finally
here at the train station. Looking around the room my classmates smiling,
talking, and playing games. Most of us have no clue what to expect we just know
we have begun the journey. My expectations of the train station was not far off
from what actually took place. 8:30 p.m. was the time we had to meet with our
class we are all gathered around, and we have to check our bags in. The lady
asked question about things in our luggage to make sure we had everything we
need and that our bags did not exceed 50 lbs. I thought through my luggage made
sure I had all of my medication and keys out of my bag and gave it to the lady.
Each step is closer and closer to our trip.
Fast forward:
I am on train now just got settled in. This is really nice
the seats let back and foot rest come up, this my friend will be a nice comfortable
ride. So I thought. I finally was able to get comfortable and all wrapped up in
my blanket although I was debating on whether or not I would be able to fall asleep.
I cuddled in my chair and tried to
relax. As I put the cover over my head I heard the door open I am now wondering
is this how this whole night will be? Doors opening, people walking up and down
the isles, and weird creepy noises the train makes. Hmm.. I just know I need
rest tomorrow will be a long day. I finally dosed off but woke up to something
that scared the crap out of me. I heard a noise and when I looked up the first
door to the train was open and there was a little boy who was trying to get
into the next cabin. The little boy was only about 3 and he was walking on the
train at about 3 a.m. alone. I instantly panicked, jumped up and tried to see
if he needed help. In my mind there were no guardrails when transferring from
cabin to cabin and I thought the little boy was going to fall off the train.
This is what happens when you are woken up from your sleep, you really do not
know exactly what is going on flight or flight kind of kicks in and boom. You
have a situation. The little boy entered the other cabin before I could get him
by the way, so I sat down and cuddled up in my seat. The thoughts that go
through your head when you are in an unfamiliar place can be scary when
something happens unexpectedly, but when you are sleeping and woken up in
confusion oh boy is that treat.
